1898 Singer treadle sewing machine

  

1898 Singer model 27 / Sphinx treadle sewing machine. This has been in my family for over 100 years and was being used into the 1970's. Has the original accessory box with what appears to be most if not all of the accessories.

Serial number is 14993896 which is how I dated it to 1898. This is a very beautiful and ornate piece.

It has been on display in my house for the last 20+ years. The majority of the wood is in great shape although some of the veneer on the top is cracked and a couple very small pieces are missing.

Also the back right wheel is missing. The majority of the paint is also in great shape although again, there is some wear in the expected areas. All of this can be seen in the photos.
