1905 Singer Treadle Sewing Machine With 7 Drawers. Very Ornate

This Singer Sewing machine is a Model 27 with Serial Number B1520017 and according to Singer's Serial Number Data Base was manufactured in 1905. The cabinet has been completely stripped of its original finish and restored to a beautiful condition. The metal legs/frame were also wire brushed clean and repainted to an original like finish.

The original middle drawer was in very sad shape and I have made a new one with the original carving salvaged from the original drawer. As best I know all else is original. The machine itself was carefully cleaned and oiled and now sews quite nicely. The belt was replaced with a new one. With proper care this could last into the next century. These machines are all metal and very durable not like todays with a lot of plastic parts. So if you or someone you know is fairly handy with basic tools, it could easily be reassembled.
