1917 Singer Treadle Sewing Machine. Model 66 With 7 Drawers. Very Ornate
This Singer Sewing machine is a Model 66 with Serial Number G5698317 and according to Singer's Serial Number Data Base was manufactured in 1917. The cabinet has been completely stripped of its original finish and restored to a beautiful condition. The metal legs/frame were also wire brushed clean and repainted to an original like finish. The machine itself was carefully cleaned and oiled and now sews quite nicely. The belt was replaced with a new one. What makes this cabinet rather unique is that it is made from walnut wood unlike most others which are oak. With proper care this could last well into the next century.
