This beautiful antique Singer 128 (G9398551) Hand Turn Sewing Machine with Knee Lever was manufactured around 1922. This is a domestic portable machine. The paint and decals show some needle scratches, chips, blemishes and wear as can be seen in the photos and expected for its age. The machine turns freely causing the needle to go up and down and the light works.
The plug for the light has electrical tape on it as seen in the photos. I have not sewn with this machine, nor have I cleaned it. It has been in my father's office for years in storage and now I think someone can love it's beauty by using it or displaying it. I have additional photos, please ask for them and I will send more. Please understand the machine is cast iron secured to a wooden box and lid, which means it is extremely heavy and sturdy. It will be double boxed and wrapped extremely well to keep it safe during transport to you. The original Bentwood Case is in good cosmetic condition with some minimal wear, lots of scratches and blemishes.
I do not have a key, but my husband was able to open it with a screwdriver. What a great machine for the collector or maybe to use! This item is in the category "Antiques\Sewing (Pre-1930)\Sewing Machines". The seller is "jacqui7770" and is located in this country: US.
