Singer's Model 20 line of miniature chain stitch machines were well engineered and known for being closer to tiny versions of adult machines - as the box states it is, "a real sewing machine - not a toy"! The 20-10 or Singer Sewhandy 20, first released in the 50s, featured an aluminum body and enclosed mechanism; though they did not have serial numbers, the special "Century of Sewing Service" blue-ringed badge dates this machine to Singer's centennial year of 1951.

Rarer still, this piece has the original box, the changing tool, the SIMANCO table clamp, and two cloth guides with set screws. In overall excellent vintage original condition, very nice badge, minimal wear appropriate to age.

Box wear as expected for age, wonderful color, original owner's name/address written on the front in pen. See pictures closely for more information on this extra special collector's item in original as-found condition - you won't find one nicer! I do my best to accurately describe items listed for sale.
