Antique "Singer" 1886 New Family 12, Serial numbers: 7132089, 1835689. Hand crank model with nice Bentwood Case with the Singer emblem on the front. This is a beautiful example of an unrestored antique Singer 12 hand crank sewing machine, with the desirable "fiddle base". The acanthus leaves stenciling are in excellent condition and are still bright and colorful with only a few rubs from normal wear and use. There are also a few nicks and minor blemishes from normal age related wear.
The bobbin and shuttle are in place under the base plate. There is a photo of the underneath of the machine and you can see thread extending from the bobbin. The machine wheel turns freely and the needle easily moves up and down.
The bentwood case fits well and securely goes to place to protect the sewing machine and is in great cosmestic condition.... The Singer emblem is almost unblemished.
