Antique 1926 SINGER SEWING MACHINE No. 99/ KNEE CONTROL BAR / No Case/ Working

  
This antique portable Singer sewing machine from 1926 is a great machine for any sewing enthusiast. With a fancy scrolled chrome faceplate and a knee control bar. It is and in working condition and is perfect for those who value the history and reputation of these machines.

The serial number is AA869039 and it was produced in January of 1926. This heavy duty machine is suitable for denim and leather.

It is mostly in the condition it was when found. There is some minor tarnish on the chrome pieces and the paint and decals are in pretty nice condition. The lamp works, and the power cord was replaced due to severe fraying. It was running poorly, so I oiled it and greased the motor which was squealing loudly due to it sitting for many years. That said it is running strong now. The motor still squeals some when it is cold, but I expect it to improve as the grease gets in there. There is no bentwood case top and one bobbin is included.
