Very Rare Antique Wheeler And Wilson D9 Singer 9W Treadle Sewing Machine Head with beautiful Celtic Knot decals also called Pearl. This machine is smooth running and is dated between 1908 and 1913. By the serial number according to needlebar this would date this machine to 1911. This Singer 9W is based on the Wheeler and Wilson D9. Singer acquired Wheeler and Wilson in 1905 and continued production of the Wheeler and Wilson D9 with Singer decal and called it the 9W.
Production was halted in 1913. This beautiful smooth running head will fit into existing treadle cabinets as Singer had intended. This is a very rare machine and has the even rarer decal " Singer Manufacturing "USA decal.
