I also installed a new bright LED light. The machine powers on and works. The motor runs very strong, but it doesn't move the machine. Either the machine needs to be oiled (it moves fine when the wheel is manually turned by hand, but takes some effort), or the new Singer brand belt maybe doesn't fit correctly and is just slipping.
I'm not a Singer expert and I'd rather just pass this machine along to someone who will use it and knows how to look after them. Shows normal signs of use, but there is no rust or corrosion anywhere in this mechanism. It's a clean machine in this regard.
