A very rare find this early Singer 72W19 Hemstitcher. The records of the production of these industrial machines have been lost but in this case the low number indicates that it must be a very early example. The Singer 72W19 was manufactured between 1911 and 1954 in Bridgeport U.
The machine turns smoothly and looks to be complete. Please check this for yourself by looking at the photographs. There was no Singer badge on the machine and it looks (although the holes are there)like it hasn't had one on before. The decal doesn't show any marking where the badge is supposed to be. I had a spare badge laying around so I will include it with the machine.
A rare sought after machine which is still used by crafts people who know what it is capable of doing. Although it seems to work well I cannot guarantee this in anyway. Please don't forget the machine is well over 100 years old. Sale is about head only. Be sure to add me to your favorites list.
