Singer Antique Sewing Machine and Case, Model No 99, Electric Sew Machine AS IS

  
This is a beautiful old Singer Sewing Machine Model Class No. Made in 1925, it is electric and comes with its original curved wood case. The machine has aged over the years yet all the original gold leafing detail remains in good shape. All the moving parts appear to function / move. The wheel rotates (by hand), and when the wheel is moved back and forth (by hand) the needle moves up and down.

However, I'm unsure of the electrical status of this machine. I'm not familiar with these machines. I can't see/find the end of the electrical lead (it's somewhere in the wooden base I imagine).

The lock to the wooden case has been removed. I still have it (the lock) and will send it with the machine + case. I have NO KEY for the lock, and I have no idea if the lock works anyway (which is perhaps why it was removed). Therefore when lifting this machine you have to hold the case from the bottom and not by the case handle (since the case lid sits fine on the machine base - but is not secured to it due to no lock). There is a metal plate attached to this sewing machine which reads: Sewing Motor, Patents Pending, Volts 100-110 Cycles 60 & D. I think this serial number is for the motor not the machine. It has another ID plate on it which simply reads "AA265962".

This is the marking which identifies it as a Model No. 99 first produced in Feb 1925. All in all, as is, this is a beautiful piece of rustic Americana that will complete that interior look you're working on!

The case measures: 17 1/4" width x 13" height x 8 1/4 depth. The actual machine from the top of the base is 8 high. Made with very heavy cast iron, this machine and wood case weigh a hefty 20lb. CONDITION: PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION ABOVE.

This sewing machine shows definite signs of age and wear as great vintage items do. Examine all the pictures closely.

I'm not educated in these machines so I'm unsure if it's missing any parts, but to my laymen eyes it seems to be intact. However I haven't tested the electrics so CONSIDER THIS MACHINE NOT WORKING. The wood case and base is worn in parts. Zoom in & out to get a good sense of it's exact condition: a picture tells a thousand words. The case is particular worn on one of the corners (see pic) and underneath.
