Stunning 1921 Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Head 115 Wings Original Bobbin Case. This is a stunning example of a fairly rare Singer Treadle sewing machine head. It is the beautiful model 115 with the gorgeous Wings design.
This machine has the 115 bobbin case, specific to this machine and takes 306 bobbins. This machine dates to 1921 by serial number G9039941 and is beautiful to the eyes and runs amazingly.
Being a full rotary hook this machine runs incredibly smooth and sews a great stitch. The 115 is certainly one of the best machines ever made! We threaded it up and sewed the beautiful stitches as you can see in photo provided. We tested it and all functions operate excellently. Tensioner is good, stitch length knob works, slide plates slide very smoothly, bobbin winder operates perfectly.
Cosmetically, this machine is very beautiful. The Wings decals are brilliant, bright and mostly intact. They are in remarkably great antique condition, holding their beautiful gold colour with typical usage wear for a 102 year old machine. There are two spots on the machine within the decals that look to be touched up with a matching coloured marker, it is very hard to tell, but there is one spot on the bed of the machine and one on the top of the arm.
All nickel plated metal parts are in very beautiful condition and have been cleaned to shine! There is minor usage wear to certain high traffic areas of the machine, everything is shown in photos. This machine comes with the very hard to find bobbin case!
