VINTAGE Singer 500a Rocketeer

  

SINGER 500a "Rocketeer" Domestic Sewing Machine in beige and white color. While there are other 500 class machines, none offered as many stitch options as the 500a making this machine favored by quilters and sewing enthusiasts. The machine has many different built-in stitches. Insert Singer Special Discs cams for even more stitches. This is a zigzag, top loading, horizontal, rotary hook machine loaded with features.

The 500a features a slant needle, built-in stitches, steel gears, a rotary hook and direct drive motor. On the inside you'll find those famous all metal gears which clearly withstand time and use.

Uses Class 66 Bobbins and standard 15x1 needles. They thread from the front to the back. It is in good cosmetic shape, and sews fantastic. All dials and the wheel turn freely. The top cover flips up to reveal two spring loaded spool holders, an internal bobbin winder as well as instructions on how to use its cam system.

The machine has been lightly cleaned, oiled, lubricated, and tested and is ready to go. Paint in very good condition. Please note that due to the age of the machine, it will not be perfect. It does contain some scratches, scuffs, and wear. There is no manual, however, it can be downloaded online. I have provided many photos for your consideration.
